 Effective use of mosque

( masajid ka mufeed istimal)

Let us carry on with the effective uses of a mosque.  So, I was suggesting that adjacent to a mosque there should be a multipurpose hall where the youth and elders could get together.  Since such social activities could not properly happen at the mosque itself, it is a common observation that the children hesitate to enter the mosque and play around its door, because if they entered the mosque even by mistake they will be faced with sensor process and will be asked a lot of questions, such as cap, dress etc. Such a hall could be utilized for social events too, for playing and an Islamic library etc.  You would agree with me that when we accept Islam with full awareness and knowledge we become better Muslims. It is like advancing from the primary education to higher levels by further studies and it is essential for us to become better Muslims.  Our children need to advance in an organized way and particularly in the society that we are presently living in.

We remember what Allah says that “I do not help those who do not help themselves”.  As we know some of the previous nations have this misunderstanding that they are the chosen people so Allah will take care of them.  However they forget that Allah does justice to all.  He expects obedience and total submission and with Him there is no place for the disobedient.  Here some people may ask, “Why does Allah not send His punishment as he did for the disobedient people in the past”.  We do all the things they did; such as tell lies, are dishonest, go back on our words, and are oppressors and cruel etc. About that you can ponder yourself.  We should remember that the previous prophets (pbuh) were sent for particular and small nations, and when their followers became disobedient then they were punished by annihilation, while Islam is for all of the humanity.  So it is against His justice that He would punish whole humanity for the sins of a particular people or nation.  Regional punishments have been happening though; such as by Jenges Khan, or other such rulers.  In this way Allah tests His submitters and if they are steadfast then He raises their level of greatness.  In the example of Abraham (pbuh), he was being thrown in fire but he had full belief in Allah, and Allah ordered the fire to lose it heat and become cold.  Do we have even a fraction of such faith that we ask for Allah’s kindness?  Again Allah orders Abraham (pbuh), to leave his little child and wife in a desert with no habitation or water and he does not hesitate to do so.  His (pbuh) wife Hagar (ra) asks him (pbuh) three times that why is he doing so and then understands that it is a command from Allah and she obeys him (pbuh).  If she did not have trust in her husband and did not believe in his (pbuh) piety then she would not have obeyed him (pbuh). Such was his wife’s trust in him (pbuh).  Again the third time commands him (pbuh) to sacrifice his son.  He (pbuh) tells this to his (pbuh) son Ishmael and he (pbuh) unhesitant says yes to it, if it is a command from Allah.  In these examples we see an exemplary family where all trust each other.  So Allah gave a particular distinction to this family.  In this is many a lesson for the visionary people.
